Hi, I'm Boy Avianto, a web designer & developer on weekdays; user experience consultant, social media connoisseur, creator & builder of anything useful & beautiful, enthusiast photographer and part-time superhero by any other days. Currently trying to make it in New York City.
Journal
I have been writing, regularly and sporadically, on the web since 2000. Started as a personal diary to keep me sane during my bachelor thesis days, the journal evolved into a very opionated writing about how I perceive life, the Universe and everything. Some personal stories here and there are still written, but current writings are about my opinion, perception and understanding about the world and life.
Since the coming of microblog, I seldomly wrote longer opinions and stories. After all, I could concise most of my opinion in less than 140 characters.
Photography
I took photos cassually and occassionally, sometimes I did professional photo sessions too, but photography is always considered a passion instead of a profession.
Some of my photos are presented at this personal photography website but most of them are available at Flickr and some of my best photos are featured at Pentax Photo Gallery
Design & Code
I design and code web & softwares for more than 10 years. Started professionally as a mere graphic designer at a television station, I always have a passion combining design and coding. Learned to code back in high school, my first programming language were Basic and Pascal - yes, I have been around that long, I finally found the virtue of web and software design and development.
After creating and building a lot of useful and beautiful web and software for years, I concluded: good design and efficient code create better user experience. That's what really mattered.
